7 Days Rwanda Experience

Day 1 Kigali Airport

On arrival at Kigali Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transfer to your hotel in Kigali to check in and relax. After, you will head out for a tour of Kigali City. You will have your lunch during the city tour.

After the city tour, head back to your hotel and spend the rest of the evening at your hotel.

Day 2 Akagera NP

After and early breakfast, your guide will drive you to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and relax after which you will head out for the afternoon wildlife activity and game drive. After, head back to your lodge and spend the rest of the day at your lodge.

Day 3 & 4 Game drives

After breakfast, head out for game drives in Akagera National Park. A wildlife sighting is always unpredictable and that’s what makes a game drive so exciting. Look out for tracks. Listening for alarm calls and be on the alert for nearby predators. You will also have the opportunity to view the abundant bird and wildlife from a boating safari.
There’s so much to see, and being the first to spot something brings a whole new level of satisfaction to your day.

Day 5 Akagera - Volcanoes NP

After an early breakfast, your guide will drive you to Volcanoes National Park. This is a long day of driving through the wonderful countryside; including a lunch stop in Kigali. You will arrive at the lodge late afternoon. You can also opt-in for a helicopter transfer (weather permitting) to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and relax. Spend the rest of the day at your lodge.

Day 6 Gorilla tracking

After an early breakfast, your guide will drive you to the park headquarters for the 7 am briefing on gorilla tracking. After getting briefed on the gorilla family your group is trekking (small group per tracker), walk through the tropical rain forest in search of the mountain gorillas. You may find them doing their daily chores of feeding their young ones, climbing trees and others just relaxing. You will have about 1 hour with the gorillas, and then return to headquarters. Transfer back to the lodge in time for a late lunch and afternoon at leisure to relax. Possibility to hike around the lodge or chat to your guide if you would like to book a cultural activity (not included).

Day 7 Volcanoes - Kigali

This is the last day of your safari.

Enjoy a relaxed morning with your breakfast. After, check out of your lodge and your guide will drive you to Kigali to board your flight back home. You will have your lunch enroute.
