11 Days Wild Tusker Uganda Safari

Day 1 Entebbe Airport

On arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transfer to your hotel to relax.

Depending on your time of arrival, after resting, you can opt-in for a beach experience or spend the rest of the day at your hotel for Dinner and Overnight

Day 2 Entebbe – Murchison Falls NP

After breakfast, checkout of your hotel and drive to Murchison Falls National Park.

You will make a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to view rhinos in the wild.  Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the best place to see rhinos in the wild in Uganda. It is the breeding site for the black and white rhino in Uganda after rhinos got extinct in Uganda in the 1980s.

After, continue your drive to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will arrive in time for lunch. Check into your lodge, have lunch and relax.

Spend the rest of the day at your lodge relaxing, with an evening bonfire.

Day 3 Murchison Falls NP

After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive. This morning game drive you will have a chance of finding lions, hyenas and leopards as they come back from night-hunting or as they do a morning hunt. You will also see a number of animals like elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, giraffes, hartebeests, among others, and birds. You will also visit the hippo pool for close encounters with hippos.

After the game drive, head back to your lodge for lunch.

In the evening, head out for an evening game drive for more wildlife encounters.

After the game drive, head back to your lodge and spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the lodge.

Day 4 Murchison Falls NP

After breakfast, go for a community walk to visit the local communities around park.

After lunch, drive back into Murchison Falls National Park for an afternoon boat cruise on River Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls. You will sail past the towering edge of Nyamusika cliff, and view water loving wildlife like hippos, crocodiles, and birds. You may also see elephants and waterbucks at the riverbank.

Upon arriving at a safe distance, you will dock and enjoy amazing views of the bottom of Murchison Falls. After, disembark from the boat and hike to the top of Murchison Falls where your guide will be waiting for you. At the top of the falls, you will enjoy great views of the top of Murchison Falls.

After, drive back to your lodge.

Day 5 Murchison Falls NP – Kidepo Valley NP

After breakfast, checkout of your lodge, and drive to Kidepo Valley National Park.

Kidepo Valley National Park, the northern-most national park in Uganda is a beautiful wilderness – with savannah against the backdrop of mountains. You will make a stopover on your way for local lunch.

After, continue your drive to Kidepo Valley National Park enjoying the great views of this part of Uganda.

Upon arrival, check into your lodge. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your lodge for Dinner and Overnight

Day 6 Kidepo Valley NP

After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in the beautiful plains of Kidepo Valley National Park. You will see elephants, buffaloes, hartebeests, zebras, and possibly lions, cheetahs.

The landscape of Kidepo Valley National Park is made up of hills and rocks from where one can obtain stunning panoramic views of wildlife and the Narus River Valley.

After the game drive, head back to your lodge for lunch. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your lodge.

Day 7 Kidepo Valley NP

After breakfast, head out for cultural experience of the Karamoja people – a pastoral people inhabiting the area around the park.  You will visit one of their homesteads, locally called manyatas, meet local elders, listen to warrior tales, see kraals and grinding stones, and also be entertained by their dances.

This is a good opportunity to buy Karamoja beads, stools, necklaces; as souvenirs.

Spend as much time as you like with the community after which you will head to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight

Day 8 Kidepo Valley NP – Sipi Falls

After breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive to Sipi Falls.

Upon arrival check into your lodge and spend the rest of the day at your lodge relaxing.

Day 9 Sipi Falls

After breakfast, choose any of these optional activities.

Option 1: Coffee tour

Head out for a coffee tour where you will visit a local coffee plantation and make your own coffee from your roasted coffee beans. You will enjoy community experiences on this coffee tour and buy yourself coffee directly from the farmers (bean or ground).

Option 2: Sipi Falls

Sipi Falls are comprised of 3 levels of waterfalls; the highest - 100m, the second highest - 85 m, and the lowest - 75m. Depending on your fitness, you will choose whether to visit all the levels or two or one of them. The falls are spectacular to view in an artificial cave where you can enjoy the sound and flow of the water falling from a cliff.

Hiking to the falls takes 3 hours with great views of plantations and communities. The communities here are comprised of the Sabiny and Bagisu people – a Mount Elgon people known for their aromatic coffee.

For more adventure, you can try out abseiling on the falls. It’s an unforgettable experience.

Option 3: Sabiny Cultural Tour

Visit the villages of the Sabiny – the native people of Sipi Falls area. Tour and indulge in Sabiny customs including dance, food, and local brew. Visit cultural sites and meet elders.

You can have local lunch or head back to your lodge for lunch.

Day 10 Sipi Falls - Kampala

After breakfast, begin your journey to Kampala City, making a stopover at Mbale City for lunch.

After lunch, continue your drive to Kampala City. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your hotel relaxing.

Day 11 Kampala – Entebbe Airport

This is the last day of your safari. Take your time to wake up if your flight is in the evening.

After breakfast, you can opt-in for a massage to relax your body or relax at your hotel or drive to Entebbe Airport for your flight back home.
